PT Musi Hutan Persada (MHP) has the vision to become a leader of the Industrial Forest Plantation Company (HTI) at the national and international levels. In order to achieve this goal, PT MHP is improving Human Resources (HR) quality by conducting PT MHP’s Work Association Scholarship Program. In carrying out this program, PT MHP collaborates with two of the best universities in Indonesia, namely Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB).
This program has been running since 2019 with 10 scholarship recipients. In 2020 and 2021, graduates from this Scholarship program have joined and provided good performance not only for themselves but also for the company. It is recorded that currently, 19 foresters have joined PT MHP.
This year, PT MHP has re-established cooperation with these two campuses after it was temporarily stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic. The quota of scholarship recipients for 2022 is ten people, which are given to the selected UGM and IPB students after going through several stages of selection such as administration, academic ability, and interview tests. The students are Alfian Kusumo Aji, Anggito Yugo S, Tri Banun Nugraha, Ancilla Filema, Septian Putro Utomo, Andreas Kristanto, Zulva Arif Pradana, Sopha Erna Ariyana, Muhammad Sadam Husen, and Tiara Nurul Arifah.
In the speech of PT MHP’s President Director, Mr. Yasuharu Nakabayashi hoped the scholarship recipients could always show good performance and enthusiasm by applying all of their abilities and innovations that use not only for themselves but also for the company and their university. “The scholarship students from the first and second batches have shown outstanding performance in MHP. We hope that this coming batch can show their enthusiasm and performance not only for the company but also for themselves and the university's name.”
President Director of MHP accompanied by HR&GA Director and HR GM visited UGM (11/8/2022) and IPB (12/8/2022) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing was represented by the Dean of UGM Forestry Faculty, Sigit Sunarta, S.Hut., M.P., Ph.D., and the IPB Education and Student Affairs Vice Chancellor, Prof. Drajat Martianto. During his visit, the President Director of PT MHP also had the opportunity to visit several places at UGM and IPB.
