As a form of commitment to supporting the development of character among the younger generation with environmental awareness and healthy behavior, PT Musi Hutan Persada organized a Counseling with the Young Generation activity under the theme “Smart Youth, Caring for Forests, and Free from Drugs.

This activity was conducted at three schools, namely SMP Wana Lestari, Subanjeriji Village, Rambang Niru District, Muara Enim Regency on 2 December 2025; SMP Negeri Bumi Makmur, Bumi Makmur Village, Muara Lakitan District, Musi Rawas Regency on 3 December 2025; and SMA Negeri Bangun Jaya, Bangun Jaya Sub-district, BTS Ulu District, Musi Rawas Regency on 10 December 2025.

The program aimed to instill values of intelligence in thinking and behavior, enhance awareness and concern for forest and environmental conservation, and build awareness among the younger generation regarding the dangers of drug abuse.

The counseling sessions featured speakers from the Forest Management Unit (KPH) who delivered materials on the importance of forest conservation and the role of young people in environmental preservation. In addition, speakers from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) provided education on drug abuse prevention, the negative impacts of drugs on health and future prospects, and the strengthening of self-resilience among students.

Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the activities, which included presentations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The schools warmly welcomed the implementation of this program as part of their efforts to develop students’ character and to enhance awareness of environmental conservation and health

As the closing of the series of activities, PT Musi Hutan Persada handed over sports facilities assistance to each school. The activities were also concluded with the signing of the Declaration on Forest Conservation and Anti-Drug Awareness, as a form of joint commitment between the company, schools, and students to preserve forests and to create a healthy, drug-free educational environment.

Through this activity, PT Musi Hutan Persada hopes to continue contributing to the creation of a young generation that is intelligent, cares for forests and the environment, and is committed to living a healthy, drug-free life. This activity is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL/CSR) program in the fields of education, environment, and community development.
